Your weekly dose of some good and interesting news from around

our World of Art, because We Love Art.

Virtual Tour of The National Museum of Anthropology, Mexico

Built in 1964, this museum is dedicated to the archaeology and history of Mexico’s pre-Hispanic heritage. There are 23 exhibit rooms filled with ancient artifacts, including some from the Mayan civilization.

The museum contains significant archaeological and anthropological artifacts from Mexico’s pre-Columbian heritage, such as the Stone of the Sun (or the Aztec calendar stone) and the Aztec Xochipilli statue.

A new Andy Warhol biography reveals the artist’s true persona

With every major retrospective and every important time, we get both closer and farther away from knowing the full truth about Andy Warhol.

The artist himself worked to obscure his own biography and adopted different personae that changed over the years—all of which Blake Gopnik surveys in Warhol, a new biography published by Ecco.

Artist Of The Week by We Love Art

The best part of WLA is watching our Artlovers unleash their inner artists and leave us speechless. So it is time to show off what our community is creating all around the world.

Meet our Artist of The Week, Joyce Bejjani.

Joyce is a truly inspirational ArtLover who has created some brilliant art for years, and this wall shows all her masterpieces. She is also currently working on her masterpiece for the Level 2 course, and we can’t wait to see her finished masterpiece.

 ArtLovers Quote Of The Week

”Art does not reproduce the visible, rather, it makes visible” – Paul Klee

We Love Art Painting of The Week

Café Terrace at Night is an 1888 oil painting by the Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh. This is the first painting in which he used a starry background. The constellations are depicted with such fidelity to be able to precisely date the creation of the painting to 16-17 Sept 1888.
Although a night scene, the painting is devoid of the color black. “Café Terrace at Night” ranks second in a list of the top ten most reproduced artworks from 2000 to 2010.
