Your weekly dose of some good and interesting news from around

our World of Art, because We Love Art.

National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, South Korea

There are several sites making up this museum: the main gallery in Gwacheon and branches in Deoksugung, Seoul and Cheongju.

The virtual tours explore an inspiring mix of print, design, sculpture, photography, new media and other large-scale installations.

From Joseph Beuys to Warhol and Nam June Paik, the  collection includes an international lineup of established artists, contemporary Korean artworks and emerging names.

Why did Andy Warhol paint Marilyn Monroe?

During his lifetime, Andy Warhol was always allied with the notion of celebrity. It is often said that Andy Warhol understood the allure of global celebrity and its effects on contemporary society long before gossip blogs were even a thing.

Warhol’s art was created to remind audiences and fans that there is actually a real person behind all the fame and glamour. Perhaps he wanted to depict that these famous women were regular human beings who experienced pain and suffering, despite their fame and luxury.

The Art Of Corporate Gifting

” Employees are a company’s greatest asset – they’re your competitive advantage. You want to attract and retain the best; provide them with encouragement, stimulus, and make them feel like they are an integral part of the company’s mission.” – Anne M Mulcahy

Appreciate Their Efforts

As your organization grows leaps and bounds, the distance between the employees and the management increases.  A thoughtful gift can bridge the gap and bring about a sense of loyalty which encourages the employee to work hard. Gift giving shows an appreciation for the employee and creates a positive atmosphere in the place of work profiting both the employers and the employees. It is a win-win for both sides!

Make Them Feel Valued

Last week, our corporate client organized a Paint At Home challenge for their employees over the weekend! We sent out a  total of 55 Artboxes- yes, you read that right – we were gleaming with joy as we could not wait for the employees to truly explore their inner artist!

We all know about the significance of our employees well-being and mental health – and planning a gift for all your employees and taking into consideration all their needs is a pretty daunting task. But, ultimately, the key to succeeding is the care you have for your employee!

We want to give huge thanks to all our corporate clients for choosing us when it comes to letting their employees explore their creative spark! From our collection of 50+ Artboxes, there is something for absolutely everyone. We are very excited to see their stunning finished masterpieces!

 ArtLovers Quote Of The Week

“Creativity Takes Courage” – Henri Matisse

We Love Art Painting of The Week

Leonid Afremov was a Russian–Israeli modern impressionistic artist who worked with palette knives and oils, known for his Impasto technique. By laying oil paint in thick overlapping strokes, he creates a layered texture that gives his paintings a distinct three-dimensional sense.

Balloon Festival is one of the most original oil painting seascapes because you do not look at the sea here. You look at the sky because you can’t take your eyes away.
