Oil Painting Series
Join us for our Oil Painting Master Series, where you’ll have the opportunity to explore and create in a relaxed, evening group class setting. Each course is designed to be flexible, with some taking one, two, or three days to complete one painting, depending on the style. Classes are held at Tania’s Teahouse from 7 to 10 pm on weekdays, and are open to all skill levels. Come share your creativity with others and enjoy the process of learning and painting in a warm and elegant setting.

What are the oil master classes?
You’ll join a group for up to three sessions to complete one oil painting. Each class is planned to match the time needed for the paint to dry between layers.
Do I need any painting experience to join?
No experience is necessary! Our oil art courses in Dubai are designed for all skill levels, from beginner painting to experienced painters. Each class includes step-by-step guidance to help you complete your painting with confidence.
Is food and drink included?
Yes! The experience includes a selection of canapés and high tea at Tania’s Teahouse in Dubai Hills. Guests can enjoy unlimited tea or coffee alongside a carefully curated tea platter featuring sandwich options such as mozzarella and tomato, beetroot hummus, avocado hash, chicken, truffle and cream cheese, and smoked salmon. The menu also includes stuffed croissants with turkey and cheese, chocolate profiteroles, and an assortment of mini tarts.
Are oil paints toxic? What if I have allergies?
Most modern oil paints are safe to use, and we offer gloves for those who want to keep their hands clean. We also use odorless thinner instead of traditional solvents to create a more comfortable and fume-free environment. which reduces fumes and makes the environment safer for those with sensitivities. If you have specific allergies, let us know in advance so we can accommodate your needs.
Will the materials have a strong smell?
No, we use odorless thinner for cleaning brushes and mixing paints. Since we work in a restaurant setting, we make sure the materials are safe and free of strong smells so everyone can enjoy the experience comfortably.
What’s the difference between oil and acrylic painting?
Oil paint dries slowly, giving you more time to blend colors and make adjustments. It’s great if you like to take your time with details. Acrylic paint dries fast, which is helpful if you want to layer colors quickly or work at a faster pace. Both have unique qualities that can help you develop different painting techniques.
Can I learn both oil and acrylic painting at the same time? What will I learn from each?
Yes, you can learn both! Oil painting teaches patience, blending, and creating depth in your work. Acrylic painting helps you work faster, make bold strokes, and experiment with layering. Learning both will give you a well-rounded set of skills.
Will materials be provided?
We provide all materials for the sessions, but you’re welcome to bring your favorite brand of oil paints and brushes if you prefer.
Which oil painting course is best if I want to learn everything?
Every course is designed to make oil painting easy and fun, no matter your skill level. Each one teaches a different technique and lets you complete a painting in one to three days. By taking multiple courses, you’ll build a strong foundation and learn various skills to express your creativity.
Why do some courses take longer than others?
Oil paint takes time to dry between layers, usually 3 days to allow proper drying time between sessions. However, the Alla Prima course (which means “in one sitting”) is designed to be completed in a single session. We also offer some modern technique oil art courses in Dubai that can be finished in just 2 days. The length of each course depends on the painting style and drying time needed for the best results.
