We Love Art Painting of The Week
Woman with a Parasol by Monet was painted plain air (outdoors), which gives the painting its intimate and spontaneous feel. Monet’s light, spontaneous brushwork creates splashes of colour. The work is a genre painting of an everyday family scene instead of a formal portrait. The painting is one of Monet’s most recognizable and revered works and of impressionism as a whole. Woman with a Parasol was painted outdoors, probably in a single session of several hours’ duration.

Yet another very successful Art Course. We are so proud of all the children for completing the Kids Love Art Course; they have truly shown the creative spark in them.
