Virtual Tour of The Uffizi Gallery, Florence
This less well-known gallery houses the art collection of one of Florence, Italy’s most famous families, the de’Medicis.
The building was designed by Giorgio Vasari in 1560 specifically for Cosimo I de’Medici, but anyone can wander its halls from anywhere in the world.
The Gallery entirely occupies the first and second floors of the large building constructed between 1560 and 1580 and designed by Giorgio Vasari. It is famous worldwide for its outstanding collections of ancient sculptures and paintings (from the Middle Ages to the Modern period).

T’s features director did a deep dive into the life of Gilot, an artist who had a 10-year affair with , and wrote all about it in a 1964 memoir that was brought back into print earlier this year. “I think it’s very important in life to have no regrets,” Gilot told La Force. “‘Regrets’ meaning not having done this or that.

We Love Art Painting of The Week
The Great Wave off Kanagawa is a woodblock print by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai. It was published sometime between 1829 and 1833. It is Hokusai’s most famous work and one of the most recognizable works of Japanese art in the world.
The image depicts an enormous wave threatening three fishing boats off the coast of the town of Kanawaga while Mount Fuji rises in the background. Hokusai has arranged the composition to frame Mount Fuji.
